摘要

Abstract

Trispanning orphan receptors of Schistosomahaematobium (ShTOR) and S.mansoni (SmTOR) can bind to complement C2a, which may play an important role in immune evasion of Schistosoma. To characterize functions of Schistosomajaponicum tetraspanning orphan receptor (SjTOR), entire SjTOR ORF was amplified in PCR and its sequence was analyzed in bioinformatics. Moreover, the N-terminal extracellular domain 1 (ed1) of the SjTOR gene was subcloned into vector pET-28a (+) to construct a recombinant plasmid pET-28a-SjTOR-ed1. The recombinant rSjTOR-ed1 was expressed in Escherichiacoli BL21 (DE3) and purified using a Ni-NTA His•Bind Resin. Western blot analysis showed that rSjTOR-ed1 reacted with schisosomasis-positive mouse serum. The results from the present study were useful to characterize functions of SjTOR in future study.
