Abstract
Nowadays, one of the hot research topics in gastrointestinal surgery is gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GIST). However, there are some confusions in the clinical diagnosis and treatment of GIST. In face of the confusions, surgeons need to pay attention to the following aspects before making clinical decisions, for instance, avoiding unnecessary preoperative biopsy;non-rectum derived small gastrointestinal stromal tumor could be followed up after eliminating risk factors; the choice of minimally invasive technique in the treatment of GIST need to be careful; the close following up should be carried out after the preoperative treatment with target drugs for the drug effect and the time of surgical intervention; the time of postoperative adjuvant therapy depends on the risk classification; the rational evaluation of the standard of GIST recurrence risk assessment; the target therapy plays a major role in the treatment of the recurrent GIST, and the operative method is complementary.关键词
