The Current Status of the Development of Intelligent Sign Language Synthesis Software Based on Virtual Human Technologies

Abstract
The development and application of sign language synthesis software will facilitate the learning and communication of people with hearing and speech disabilities in the modern informative society. This article summarizes the current status, development trends and technical measures of intelligent sign language synthesis based on virtual human technologies in the world. It also analyzes the development, implementation and problems of sign language synthesis technologies in China. On the basis of aforementioned analysis and summarization, the two virtual modeling standards (H-Anim and MPEG-4) are introduced and three modeling tools(3DSMAX,MAYA,POSER) and operational control tools(VRML,OpenGL,Direct3D and LabVIEW)are compared and development tools of intelligent sign language synthesis software are compared based on virtual human technologies.关键词
