Abstract
Objective:To analyze the status of the volunteers who promote unpaid blood donation in Shanghai and to provide the information for decision making on the construction improvement of the volunteer team. Methods:The personnel structure of the volunteers,the volunteers’ participation and willingness of unpaid blood donation,the voluntary service time and the area distribution of the volunteers were analyzed based on the existing data. Results:There were 1 036 volunteers who promote unpaid blood donation in Shanghai in 2013. The majority of them were young and highly educated. Among them,87%of them also participated in unpaid blood donation and 73%of them had willingness to do so in one year. However,the volunteers were not evenly distributed in Shanghai and 51.98%of them provided voluntary services less than 72 hours. Conclusion:Recruitment and training of the volunteers should be enhanced in some weak areas of Shanghai and the long-term mechanism should be set up to facilitate the steady development of the volunteers who promote unpaid blood donation in Shanghai.关键词
