Abstract
Objective:To investigate the feasibility of folding extended lower trapezius myocutaneous island flap to repair large penetrating defect of cheek. Methods:18 cases of buccal malignant tumor in the hospital from July, 2011 to December, 2013 were under the huge extended resection of buccal penetrating defect, with 6 cases with cheek malignant tumor resection, 9 cases with electrical injury and 3 cases with animal bites. Cheek defect and scored huge defect was the main phenomenon with 6cm×8cm~10cm×14cm area. And folding extended lower trapezius myocutaneous island flap was used. Skin island length was 9~30cm, and the width was 8cm folded cheeks penetrating defect repair. The oral lining and the outside of the cheek skin around mouth were restored. Results:After the repair, 18 flaps survived with satisfactory appearance and good oral function. Conclusion:Folding extended lower trapezius island myocutaneous flap can appear in the radical operation of oral malignant tumor after the cheek great penetrating injury, as the preferred flap, safe operation, simple and reliable and satisfactory effect.关键词
