The Research Progress of Estrogen and Immune System in the Pathogenesis of Postmenopausal Osteoporosis
摘要
Abstract
Osteoporosis(OPS)is a kind of skeletal diseases characterized by the amount of bone in the unit volume below the normal,insufficient production of bone organic ingredients,with a subsequent reduction of calcium salt and micro architectures deterioration of bone tissue.Postmenopausal osteoporosis (PMO) belongs to primary OPS, the occurrence of which is resulted from estrogen deficiency.In recent years,many researches have been proved the close relationship between immune system and bone diseases,such as rheumatoid arthritis,bone metastasis,periodontitis, OPS and so on.There is a new-born inter-discipline called osteoimmunology.The happening of PMO has relationship with the impact of estrogen not only on the function of osteoclast and osteoblast,but also on the function of immune system and various cytokines.In this review we briefly discuss the relationship between PMO and immune system.关键词
