Abstract
To investigate the correlation between the Ghrelin and MMP-9 in rectal cancer tissue with lymph node metastasis.Method:A total of 21 cases of rectal cancer without lymphatic metastasis and 35 cases of rectal cancer with lymphatic metastasis were enrolled in this study.Immunohistochemical staining and western blot were performed to detect the expression of Ghrelin and MMP-9 in the tumor tissues of 56 patients.And statistical analysis technique was used to investigate the relation between their expression and the relationship between the expression of Ghrelin and MMP-9.Result:The expression of Ghrelin and MMP-9 in rectal cancer tissue was 53.57%and 80.36%,respectively, they were significantly highter than that in the adjacent mucosal tissues(P<0.05).There were a close correlation between the expression of Ghrelin and MMP-9 with lymph node metastasis rate(P<0.05).Furthermore,the positive expression of Ghrelin and MMP-9 increased with increasing lymphatic metastasis.The positive expression of Ghrelin was consistent with the positive expression of MMP-9(κ=0.832,P<0.001).Conclusion:Expressions of Ghrelin and MMP-9 are closely related to the degree of lymphatic metastasis of rectal cancer,and their combination may be an important indicator to evaluate the malignant degree and prognosis of the rectal cancer.关键词
