Effect Evaluation on Launching Survey for Technicist of Cervical Cancer/Breast Cancer Screening in Jiangsu Province

Abstract
To take survey among health professionals of family planning services in Jiangsu province and evaluate the feasibility of carrying out cervical cancer/breast cancer screening in local-level family planning services. Method:11 family planning services(3 of city-level and 8 of county-level)in Jiangsu were selected as study sites,the questionnaires were used to investigate all health professionals from the study sites.Result:All sites had launched cervical cancer/breast cancer screening service. The differences between city-level and county-level workers on education and professional title were significant(P<0.05);while on work seniority were not(P=0.053). The main way of gaining knowledge on treatment and prevention of cervical cancer/breast cancer was attending training. And workers of county-level family planning services had little acquaintance with breast cancer screening methods and risk factors(P<0.05). Conclusion:Personnel quality of city-level professionals are better than county-level,but the knowledge level of cervical cancer/breast cancer screening should be promoted further. This investigation shows it’s possible to carry out cervical cancer/breast cancer screening service based on present work condition,however,standardized training should be done and investment on screening equipment should be increased. Building the screening system and technical team is the cornerstone of providing women healthcare service.关键词
