Abstract
Objective:To investigate the standard maintenance practice of implantable venous access port (IVAP) in order to keep the catheter free of obstruction or infection to ensure successful treatment.Method: An evidence-based nursing team was established to evaluate the authenticity,reliability,and practicability of the evidence regarding the management of non-injured needle injection, flushing and sealing, catheter-related infection during maintenance of IVAP in 129 patients in the department of Breast Surgery from October 2011 to April 2012.Result: The success rate of one-time non-injured needle injection was 99.4%.No obstruction or infection happened during catheter retention. Conclusion:Evidence-based is the basis of clinical care, applying evidence-based nursing to IVAP maintenance for standard operation procedure and to guide clinical were great significance.关键词
