Abstract
Objective To assess the effectiveness of problem-based learning (PBL)teaching method used in the clinical practice of obstetrics and gynecology for medical students.Methods We selected 56 medical students of clinical medicine studying obstetrics and gynecology at our hospital to participate in this trial.They were randomly assigned to experimental group and control group with 28 in each.PBL was adopted in experimental group while lecture-based learning (LBL)was performed in control group.The outcome measurements were scores of both theory and practice tests.Results PBL group significantly outperformed LBL group in the scores of both theory and clinical skill tests (P <0.05). Conclusion PBL teaching method adopted in clinical teaching of obstetrics and gynecology can not only greatly improve students'autonomous learning and teamwork capacity but also upgrade their problem-analyzing and problem-solving abilities and increase their interest in learning obstetrics and gynecology.关键词
