Abstract
Objective To investigate the levels of basic ifbroblast growth factor (bFGF), matrix metallo-proteinase-9 (MMP-9) and matrix metalloproteinase inhibitor-1 (TIMP-1) in the serums of patients with lung cancer and relevance of tumor characteristics. Method Clinical data of 42 patients in lung cancer group with lung cancer admitted by department of medical oncology in our hospital from August 2010 to March 2013 were retrospectively analyzed, 60 healthy people undergoing physical examinations during the same period were selected as control group. Observed and compared two groups studied, different types of lung cancer group, patients with different clinical stages bFGF, MMP-9, TIMP-1 levels. Analysed of patients with lung cancer serum bFGF, MMP-9, TIMP-1 levels correlation. Result The levels of bFGF, MMP-9 and TIMP-1 in serums of patients with lung cancer were signiifcantly higher than control group (P<0.05). The comparisons between levels of serum bFGF, MMP-9 and TIMP-1 of patients with small cell lung cancer and those of patients with non-small cell cancer were not signiifcant (P>0.05). The levels of bFGF, MMP-9 and TIMP-1 of patients with lung cancer at stageⅠand stageⅡwere signiifcantly lower than stage Ⅲand stage Ⅳ(P<0.05). The levels of bFGF, MMP-9 and TIMP-1 of patients with lung cancer lymph node metastasis at stage N1 were signiifcantly lower than stage N3 (P<0.05). The level of bFGF were signiifcantly correlated to that of MMP-9 (r=0.552, P=0.000), the level of bFGF was not correlated to TIMP-1 (r=0.074, P=0.640), the level of TIMP-1 was signiifcantly correlated to that of MMP-9 (r = 0.514, P = 0.001). Conclusion The level of serum bFGF, MMP-9, TIMP-1 in patients with lung cancer are higher than normal population, suggesting that it may be one of the serum tumor markers in lung cancer, have some help for diagnosis lung cancer.关键词
