Abstract
ObjectiveTo observe effects of breviscapine on the expression of interleukin (IL)-1β, IL-10, IL-18 and tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) in rats with focal cerebral ischemia reperfusion.Method48 rats were randomly divided into four groups: sham operation group, focal cerebral ischemia-reperfusion group, tetramethylpyrazine group and breviscapine group. The middle cerebral artery occlusion reperfusion model were made by the suture method, after ischemia reperfusion 24, 48 and 72 hours, the rats were killed and gained the brain. The level of IL-1β, IL-10, IL-18 and TNF-α were measured by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA).ResultTetramethylpyrazine and breviscapine could signiifcantly decreased the level of IL-1β, IL-18 and TNF-α in rat's cerebral cortex and hippocampus, and increase the level of IL-10 in rat's cerebral cortex and hippocampus. Compared with tetramethylpyrazine, breviscapine signiifcantly decreased the level of IL-1β, IL-18 and TNF-α in rat's cerebral cortex and hippocampus, and increased the level of IL-10 in rat’s cerebral cortex and hippocampus.ConclusionThrough decrease the level of IL-1β, IL-18, TNF-α and increase the level of IL-10 in rat's cerebral cortex and hippocampus, breviscapine plays a neuroprotective effect in rats.关键词
