Abstract
Objective To compare the long-term outcomes of laparoscopic surgery versus open surgery for colorectal cancer.Methods 116 cases with colorectal cancer after curative resection in Jinhu People's Hospital and Jiangsu Province Hospital were divided into two equal number groups randomly:58 cases of laparoscopic surgery (observation group)and 58 cases of open surgery (control group).The clinical data and long-term out-comes of two groups were compared.Results The data of operation time and hospital stay were shorter in ob-servation group than those in control group (P <0.05).Intra-operative blood loss was significantly less in ob-servation group than that in control group (P <0.05).The operation complications rate was 6.9% in observa-tion group and 29.3% in control group with significant difference (P <0.05).The 1-year,3-year and 5-year survival rate in observation group were 94.8%,86.2%,77.6%,which were 72.4%,65.5%,55.1% in control group,there was significant difference between the two groups(P <0.05).Conclusions Both laparo-scopic surgery and open surgery for colorectal cancer are able to get a certain therapeutic effect,but the thera-peutic effect of laparoscopic surgery is better than that of open surgery for colorectal cancer.Compared with open surgery,the laparoscopic surgery has shorter operation time,less intra-operative blood loss,shorter length of hospitalization,fewer operation complications and higher postoperative survival rate.It is worthwhile to recom-mead and choose laparoscopic surgery for patients with colorectal cancer.关键词
