Abstract
Objective To observe the clinical effect and safety of the strengthening hypoglycemic scheme combined with L-carnitine in treating type-2 diabetes mellitus ( T2DM ) complicating coronary atherosclerotic heart disease ( CAHD ) . Methods 196 patients with T2DM complicating CAHD admitled to our hospital were randomly divided into the control group and the treatment group, 98 cases in each group. The control group was given the strengthening hypoglycemic scheme, while on this basis the treatment group was additionally given the L-carnitine. The two groups were treated for continuous 1 year. The blood glucose and lipid before and after treatment were detected. The clinical effects were observed. The cardiovascular events occurrence and adverse reactions were recorded. Results After treatment, the levels of blood glucose and lipid in both groups were improved,but the treatment group was significantly superior to the control group ( P﹤ 0. 01 ) . Comparing the clinical effects between the two groups, the treatment group was obviously superior to the control group ( P﹤ 0. 01 ) . The incidence rates of adverse reactions in both groups were low without statistically significant difference. Conclusion Strengthening hypoglycemic scheme combined with L-carnitine in treating T2DM complicating CAHD can significantly im-prove the blood glucose and lipid levels, has better clinical effect and less adverse reactions, which is worthy of clinical application.关键词
