Abstract
Objective To observe the clinical efficacy and safety of montelukast sodium plus ketotifen in the treatment of cough variant asthma. Methods 138 cases of cough variant asthma in our department from February 2010 to February 2014 were randomly divided into the observation group and control group with 69 cases in each group. The control group received the ketotifen treatment, while the observation group was given the treatment of montelukast sodium plus ketotifen. The clinical effects and the occurrence of adverse reac-tions after 1 month treatment were evaluated in the two groups. Results The total effective rates after therapy in the observation group and the control group were 95. 65% and 75. 36% respectively, the observation group was significantly superior to the control group with statistical difference ( P<0. 05 ) . The lung function indexes of FVC, PEF and FEV1/FVC after treatment in the observation group were significantly improved compared with before treatment ( P<0. 05 ) and significantly superior to the control group ( P<0. 05 );the time of symptoms alleviation and symptoms disappearance in the observation group were significantly shorter than those in the control group with statistical differences. There was no statistically significant difference in the occurrence rate of complications between the two groups ( P>0. 05 ) . Conclusion Montelukast sodium plus Ketotifen has definite effect and good safety in treating cough variant asthma, which is worthy of being widely promoted in clinical practice.关键词
