Abstract
Objective To observe the pharmacological effects of Huatian Capsule on SOD and mDA in rat with prostatic hyperplasia. Methods methyltestosterone 8 mg / kg was given by gastric gavage for 28 d to construct the prostate hyperplasia rat model. meanwhile each group (control group, model group, Qianliekang group, Huatian Capsule high, medium and low doses groups) received the gastric gavage of the corresponding doses or normal saline for consecutive 28 d. The indeXes of the vitality of superoXide dismutase (SOD) and the content of malondialdehyde (mDA) were observed. Results The high and medium doses of Huatian Capsule significantly increased the SOD vitality in rat with prostatic hyperplasia [ (110. 58 ± 31. 87) U / mgprot, (115. 70 ± 45. 76) U / mgprot, P < 0. 05], while the mDA content was significantly decreased when giving the high dose of Huatian Capsule [ (112. 22 ± 32. 75) nmoL / mg, P < 0. 01] . Conclusion Huatian Capsule significantly increases the SOD vitality and obviously decreases the mDA content, which may be caused by the anti -prostate - hyperplasia pharmacological effect of Huatian Capsule, but the further research is needed.关键词
