Meta Analysis on the Safety of Using 5-FU in Patients with Gastric Carcinoma

Abstract
Objective To systematically evaluate the safety of using 5-FU in the patients with gastric carcinoma to provide reference for rational clinical drug use. Methods The Chinese and English literatures of the randomized controlled trial(RCT)on 5-FU in the treat-ment of gastric carcinoma were retrieved. The inclusion and the exclusion standards were formulated. The included RCT were performed the statistical analysis. Results Totally 794 articles were retrieved and 11 articles were finally included. The statistical analysis found that comparing 5-FU with the 2-drug combination,the occurrence rate of thrombocytopenia and diarrhea were lower than that in the control group;the occurrence rate of oral mucositis was significantly higher than that in the control group. Compared with the 3-drug combination,the occurrence rate of leucopenia and thrombocytopenia was significantly lower than that in the control group. The funnel plot showed that the publication bias of the included RCT was small. Conclusion 5-FU as a commonly used chemotherapeutic drug of gastric carcinoma has better safety.关键词
