Current Situation of Irrational Prescriptions in Outpatient and Emergency Departments and Its Countermeasure Discussion

Abstract
Objective To promote the rational drug use in clinic for ensuring the medication safety of patients. Methods According to the prescriptions comments standard in the related documents of the Prescriptions Management Method and the Hospital Prescriptions Comments Management Standard(on trial),the irrational prescriptions by spot check in the outpatient and emergency departments from July 2012 to September 2013 were performed the classified statistics and their irrational causes were analyzed. Results Among 645 pieces of irrational prescriptions by spot check,467 pieces(72. 40%)were irregular prescriptions,182 pieces(28. 22%)were unsuitable prescriptions and 15 pieces(2. 32%)were supernormal prescriptions. The problems in the irrational prescriptions were mainly focused on the several aspects of the clinical diagnosis unconformity to medication,or incomplete diagnosis,impropriety of usage and dosage,and ir-rational use of antibacterial agents. Conclusion The outpatient and emergency prescriptions in our hospital are basically rational on the whole,but some problems still exist,which needs to be solved. The hospital should increase the intensity for the supervision on the ra-tional drug use,meanwhile doctors and pharmacists should reinforce their vocational study and responsibility to promote safe,effective and economical use of drugs.关键词
