Influence of Methotrexate Tablets on Normal Rat Blood Biochemical Indexes

Abstract
Objective To investigate the influence of Methotrexate ( MTX ) Tablets on blood biochemical indexes in the normal rats. Methods 40 SD rats were selected and randomly divided into the solvent control group and the MTX group ( 1. 05 mg/kg ) , 20 cases in each group, half male and half female. The continuous gavage of corresponding drugs lasted for 65 d. The general condition, body weight, visceral organ mass and blood biochemical indexes were observed. Results Compared with the solvent control group, in-dividual rats in the MTX group appeared mild diarrhea from the beginning of 5 th week. The coefficients of cardiac, lung, thymus and kidney in male rats of the MTX group were elevated ( P ﹤ 0. 05 ); the coefficients of liver, spleen and kidney in female rats were increased and the coefficients of thymus and brain were decreased ( P ﹤ 0. 05 ) . The serum level of TBIL in male rats of the MTX group was increased and the ALP level was decreased; the serum TG level in female rats was increased and the serum AST, ALP and CK were decreased, the differences were statistically significant ( P ﹤ 0. 05 ) . Conclusion It is initially thought that MTX Tablets has certain influence on gastrointestinal tract, kidney, liver, heart, lung, spleen, thymus, brain function in rats.关键词
