Abstract
Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy and application value of memantine hydrochloride in treating the elderly pa-tients with dementia. Methods 124 cases of senile dementia in the hospital were selected and divided into the observation group and the control group according to the random number table method,62 cases each. The control group was given the donepezil treatment, while on this basis the observation group was added with memantine hydrochloride. The clinical curative effects were observed between the two groups. Results The total effective rate in the observation group was 91. 94%,which was significantly higher than 74. 19% in the control group,the difference between them was statistically significant ( P ﹤ 0. 05). The scores of the simple intelligent mental state assessment rating scale,daily life functional rating scale and clinical dementia rating scale after treatment in the observation group were (22. 87 ± 4. 98) points,(23. 58 ± 5. 16) points and (1. 15 ± 0. 14) points respectively,and those in the control group were (20. 03 ± 3. 62)points,(29. 84 ± 8. 33)points and(1. 46 ± 0. 39)points respectively,the differences between the two groups were sta-tistically significant ( P ﹤ 0. 05). The levels of alanine aminotransferase,aspertate aminotransferase and creatinine after treatment in the observation group were (26. 31 ± 8. 62) IU/L,(26. 75 ± 9. 98) IU/L (90. 47 ± 15. 11)μmol/L respectively,and those in the control group were (26. 03 ± 8. 78) IU/L,(25. 91 ± 10. 67) IU/L and (90. 66 ± 14. 97)μmo/L respectively,the differences between the two groups had no statistical significance( P ﹥ 0. 05). Conclusion Adopting memantine hydrochloride has reliable effect for treating elderly dementia,can improve the patient ’ s cognition function and behavior ability with slight adverse reactions and is worth promoting in clini-cal practice.关键词
