摘要
Abstract
Objective To study the inhibitory effect of Carthamus tinctorius L. eztract on typeⅠandⅡ 5α-reductase activity. Methods The 5α-reductase inhibition in vitro model was established. TypeⅠand Ⅱ5α-reductase eztracted from the livers of female rats and prostates of male rats,testosterone(T)as a substrate and NADPH as a hydrogen supplier jointly composed a microscale enzymatic reac-tion system. The concentration of T which measured by HPLC could show the activity of enzyme. The HPLC method was adopted to de-tect the T content before and after reaction and the 5α-reductase activity was judged by the T content with finasteride as the positive control agent. Results The activity of typeⅠand Ⅱ 5α-reductase and the T conversion rate in the Carthamus tinctorius L. eztract 0. 1 g/L dose group had no statistically significant difference compared with the normal group( P > 0. 05);the activity of 5α-reduc-tase and the T conversion rate in the 0. 1,0. 5,2. 5 g/L dose groups were significantly decreased( P < 0. 01). Conclusion The eztract of Carthamus tinctorius L. has certain inhibiting effect on the activity of typeⅠand Ⅱ5α-reductase,which can provide reference for its application for treating prostatic hyperplasia and androgenic alopecia in clinic.关键词
