Abstract
Objective To observe the clinical effects of integrated Chinese and western medicines in the treatment of bronchiolitis for children. Methods 60 children patients with bronchiolitis were selected as subjects, and assigned to two groups based on the random number table. The control group(n=30) was given a treatment of Western medicine, while the observation group(n=30) was given an integrated treatment of Chinese and Western medicines. Clinical effects of the two groups were compared. Results Clinical recovery rate in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group (P<0.05);alleviating time of shortness of breath, disappearing time of moist rales, wheezing and cough, and duration of body temperature back to normal were all significantly shorter than those in the control group (P < 0.05). No drug withdrawal, treatment discontinuation, or even withdrawal from the experiment induced by adverse effects occurred in the two groups. Conclusion Integrated Chinese and Western medicines in the treatment of bronchiolitis for children has rapid and obvious effects, and is a highly safe treatment, which is worthy of clinical promotion.关键词
