Abstract
Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy of metformin therapy for patients with adolescent polycystic ovary syndrome. Methods Eighty patients with adolescent polycystic ovary syndrome admitted to our hospital from 2011 to 2013 were analyzed retrospectively and randomly divided into the observation group and the control group, with 40 patients in each group. Both groups received Diane-35 treatment and the observation group received additional metformin tablets. After 3 months of continuous treatment, the plasma sex hormone, fasting glucose and fasting insulin changes of the two groups were compared. Results Both groups of patients had decreased plasma sex hormone FSH, LH, LH/FSH and T indicators, and the observation group decreased more obviously, with statistically significant differences(P < 0.05); Both groups of patients had improved FBS, FIN and HOMA-IR, and the observation group improved more obviously, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05). Conclusion In the treatment of adolescent polycystic ovary syndrome, Diane-35 combined with metformin can improve the patients' clinical symptoms, ovarian function and insulin resistance and effectively reduce androgen levels, showing satisfactory results.关键词
