Influence of hyperbaric oxygen treatment on Depressive and Anxious State of Patients with Vascular Cognitive Impairment

Abstract
Objective To determine the attack situation of depression and anxiety in the patients with vascular cognitive impairment and further investigate the treatment value of hyperbaric oxygen treatment for the depressive and anxious state of the patients with vascular cognitive impairment. Methods 114 patients with vascular cognitive impairment treated in our hospital from January 2011 to May 2013 were selected and randomLy divided into two groups,namely the control group and the experiment group,which received conventional treatment and conventional treatment combined with hyperbaric oxygen treatment respectively. The depression and anxiety scores at admission,before treatment and after treatment were evaluated.The differences in depression and anxiety between the two groups were analyzed. Results The incidence of depression of the patients with vascular cognitive impairment was 54.39%and the incidence of anxiety was 47.37%. Compared to conventional treatment, hyperbaric oxygen treatment combined with conventional treatment can significantly reduce the depressive and anxious state (P<0.01). Conclusion The incidences of depression and anxiety are high among the patients with vascular cognitive impairment; Hyperbaric oxygen treatment can significantly improve their depressive and anxious state,thereby of important clinical value.关键词
