Abstract
Objective To investigate the application value of color Doppler ultrasound in detecting carotid atherosclerosis in the patients with cerebral infarction. Methods Forty-five patients with cerebral infarction treated in our hospital from April 2011 to August 2013 were selected as the observation group and 45 patients without cerebral infarction were selected as the control group.The color Doppler ultrasound was used to examine whether there existed carotid atherosclerotic plaque in the two groups and the intima-media thickness,location,size and number of plaque, and arteriostenosis degree of the infarct-side and non-infarct-side carotid arteries. Results The existence rate of carotid atherosclerotic plaque of the observation group was 84.44%,which was significantly higher than the 22.22%of the control group, with statistically significant difference between the two groups(P<0.05).The study showed that the carotid arteries mainly appeared on the side of cerebral infarction;The size and number of plaque was obviously correlated to the cerebral infarction;The intima-media thickness and arteriostenosis degrees of the carotid arteries were not significantly different. Conclusion Carotid atherosclerosis is a risk factor of cerebral infarction and the prevention of plaque formation is of highly important significance to avoid the occurrence of cerebral infarction.Color Doppler ultrasound can examine the plaque disease and determine the plaque nature early and therefore is of high clinical application value.关键词
