Abstract
Objective To investigate the treatment effects of traditional Chinese medicine fumigation-washing after manipulative reduction combined with limited internal fixation in the treatment of humeral supracondylar fractures Ⅱ and Ⅲ (Gartland typing) in children. Methods Forty children with humeral supracondylar fractures Ⅱand Ⅲ admitted to our hospital from October 2010 to May 2013 were randomly divided into the observation group and the control group. After manipulative reduction and Kirschner pin fixation, 20 children of the observation group received traditional Chinese medicine fumigation-washing. The control group received open reduction and Kirschner pin fixation. The recovery situation of the two groups was observed. Results The effective treatment rate of the observation group was 93.3%, which was significantly better than the 66.7% of the control group, with statistically significant difference (P < 0.05). The incidence of postoperative complications of the observation group was 5%, which was significantly better than the 15% of the control group, with statistically significant difference (P<0.05). Conclusion For humeral supracondylar fractures Ⅱ and Ⅲ , after manipulative reduction and limited internal fixation, the application of traditional Chinese medicine fumigation-washing can effectively promote patient recovery and reduce incidence of postoperative complications.关键词
