Abstract
Objective To explore the clinical effect of mifepristone in treatment of 51 cases of patients with uterine fibroids. Methods A total of 51 cases of patients diagnosed with uterine fibroids from April 2011 to April 2013 in our hospital were selected and treated with mifepristone orally. The size of the uterus and uterine myoma were detected by ultrasound, and the serum hormone levels were tested in laboratory, and the adverse events during the medication was observed. Results After a period of treatmen, the sizes of uterine fibroids decreased obviously with statistically significant differences(P < 0.05). The indicators of LH, E2, FSH were decreased obviously with statistically significant differences(P < 0.05). But the decrease of PRL was not significant(P > 0.05). A total of 49 cases in 51 patients were followed up during the clinical observation with the follow-up rate being 96.1%. 30 cases were returned to menses within one month, 10 cases were returned to menses within 2 months, 4 cases were returned to menses within half a year. The tumors of 40 patients were not larger (81.6%), and the tumors of 5 patients were larger. There was 3 cases treated by removal surgery, and 1 case treated with total hysterectomy. Conclusion The clinical effect of mifepristone in the treatment of uterine fibroids is good with few adverse reactions and positive clinical value.关键词
