老年2型糖尿病患者颈动脉粥样硬化与血清胱抑素C水平的关系
Relation between carotid atherosclerosis and serum cystatin C level in elderly type 2 diabetes patients

Abstract
ObjectiveTo study the relation between serum cystatin C (Cys C)level and the development of carotid atherosclerosis in elderly patients with type 2 diabetes.Methods One hundred and forty-three elderly patients with type 2 diabetes were also divided into normal IMT group(n=36)and thicker IMT group(n=107) according to the intima media thickness(IMT).The 143 cases were divided into non-carotid artery stenosis group(n=109) and carotid artery stenosis group(n=34).Serum 1evels of fasting blood glucose and serum Cys C level were measured.Results The average serum Cys C level in thicker IMT group was significantly higher than that innormal group (IMTP<0.05). Average level of erum Cys C in the group with carotid artery stenosis was significantly higher than that in non restenosis group(P<0.05).In patients with type 2 diabetes,carotid IMTand carotid artery stenosis were positively correlated with serum level of cystatin C. Logistic regression analysis revealed that high serum level of cystatin C was a risk factor for carotid artery stenosis (OR=7.26,95%CI:1.222~43.153,P<0.01).Conclusion Serum cystatin C level is closely related to carotid atherosclerosis in elderly patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus, and it is also a risk factor for carotid stenosis.关键词
