Abstract
Objective To compare the use of insertion of intrauterine contraceptive device (IUD) after artificial abortion and during menstrual interval. Methods 1056 women inserted IUD in our center were divided into bortion group (n=434) and menstrual group (n=622) on the basis of inserting time. The termination rates of IUD were investigated with questionnalre in 1 month, 3 months, 6 months and 12 months after insertion. Results 23 cases of menstrual group ending use IUD, the termination rate was 3.70%. 15 cases of abortion group ending use IUD, the termination rate was 3.46%. The total termination rate of two group showed no significant difference (x2=0.7384, P>0.05). The termination rate of menstrual group was highest in 7 to 12 months, which was 2.73%. The termination rate of abortion group was highest in 0 to 3 months, which was 1.84%. There was significant difference of termination rate in 0 to 3 months, 7 to 12 months between two groups (x2=6.3112, 7.4703, P<0.05). Conclusion The insertion IUD after artificial abortion or during menstrual interval has the good safety. But there is the risk of termination in 0 to 3 months after artificial abortion, 7 to 12 months during menstrual interval. It is necessary to pay attention to the two special session.关键词
