Abstract
OBJECTIVE:To analyze the functions and adverse reactions of commonly used excipients of traditional Chinese medicine injections in our hospital so as to provide reference for rational use of drugs. METHODS:The package inserts of 17 com-monly used traditional Chinese medicine injections in our hospital and the pertinent literature in recent 30 years both at home and abroad were retrieved for analysis,with the safety of the commonly used excipients of traditional Chinese medicine injections sum-marized. RESULTS:The commonly used excipients of traditional Chinese medicine injections in our hospital were mainly used as isoosmotic adjusting agents,loading agents,protecting agents,solubilizers,antioxidants and pH-adjusting agents,with polysorbate 80,ethanol,propylene glycol,vitamin C as representatives. The side effects of the excipients included toxicity in peripheral nerves,central nervous system,liver and kidney and irritation,etc. CONCLUSIONS:The excipients commonly used are closely related to the adverse reactions of traditional Chinese medicine injections,which should be given great attention in clinical use, meanwhile it is important to formulate correct dosing regimen.关键词
