Abstract
OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the outpatient utilization of glucocorticoids so as to promote rational use of glucocorti-coids. METHODS:172 500 outpatient prescriptions from Nov. 2011 to Nov. 2013 were collected randomly from this hospital,of which 22 425 were glucocorticoid prescriptions on which a statistical analysis was performed with regard to drug varieties,depart-ments in which glucocorticoid drugs were used,routes of administration and irrational drug use. RESULTS:Glucocorticoids were widely used in the outpatients,and which were prescribed in 13.00% of the outpatient prescriptions,with dermatological depart-ment topping the list (34.00%) in terms of rate of glucocorticoid use;Dexamethasone Sodium Phosphate for injection was the most frequently used glucocorticoid drug(32.32%);drip infusion was the most common route of administration;the rate of irratio-nal use was 28.27%. CONCLUSIONS:The outpatient utilization of glucocorticoids in this hospital is somewhat irrational,which needs great attention of both physicians and pharmacists.关键词
