Abstract
OBJECTIVE:To analyze the drug use in the outpatients with cancer pain receiving three-step analgesic ladder treat-ment in Yunnan Provincial Tumor Hospital so as to promote rational use of drugs. METHODS:Retrospectively,the drug use in the outpatients with cancer pain receiving three-step analgesic ladder treatment in the hospital in 2013 was analyzed using Excellsoft-ware with regard to the drug utilization indexes including DDDs,DDC,the ratio of consumption sum order to DDDs order. RE-SULTS:Mainly 16 drugs,predominantly the third and second ladder drugs,were used in three-step analgesic ladder treatment in the hospital with opioids as the first choice. CONCLUSIONS:The drug use in the outpatients with cancer pain receiving three-step analgesic ladder treatment in the hospital was basically rational;however,it is far from rational pharmacoeconomically. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen learning and knowledge renewal for pharmacists and improve the management and clinical use of drugs for cancer pain and improve the quality of life in patients with cancer pain.关键词
