Abstract
OBJECTIVE:To understand the antibiotic use in the inpatients of Dongtai Hospital Affiliated to Nantong University(hereinafter referred to as“our hospital”)since the implementation of special rectification activity on antibiotic use for references of clinical rational use and scientific management of antibiotics.METHODS:The data of the antibiotic use in our hospital and each clinical department during 2011-2013 period collected from hospital information system were retrospectively analyzed with regard to number of drug variety, consumption sum, rate of antibiotic use, antibiotic use density (AUD), DDDs and defined daily cost (DDC) etc.RESULTS:During 2011-2013 period, the average number of varieties, antibiotic cost per capita, rate of antibiotic use, AUD and consumption sum of the antibiotics showed year-on-year decrease.CONCLUSIONS:It is important to intensify and improve the system construction regarding the clinical use and management of antibiotics, gradually include the staged special rectification on clinical use of antibiotics into a institutionalized, standardized and routine management track and form a long-term working mechanism in order to promote the everlasting improvement of clinical use and management of antibiotics.关键词
