Abstract
OBJECTIVE:To investigate the utilization of pramipexole in outpatients from Jiangyuan Hospital Affiliated to Jiangsu Institute of Atomic Medicine (“hereinafter referred to as our hospital”) so as to provide reference for clinical rational use of drug.METHODS:7 688 outpatient prescriptions of patients with Parkinson's disease ( PD) were randomly collected, from which 1 200 were randomly selected for statistical analysis regarding patients’ gender, age, and the drug use in different age group.RESULTS: Pramipexole was used more frequently in <70 years patients.The increase of patients ’ age was associated with the decrease of the proportion of the prescriptions of pramipexole.The proportions of the patients aged <50、50~<60、60~<65、65~<70 years who used pramipexole stood at 80.70%, 65.28%, 64.81% and 55.03% respectively.The proportion of the prescriptions of pramipexole plus Benserazide gradually increased.Pramipexole witnessed rapid increase in both consumption sum and DDDs and its DDC was high.CONCLUSIONS: The utilization of pramipexole in our hospital is was rational and conforms to the guideline of PD treatment.However, with high price, Pramipexole incurs heavy economic burden for patients, therefore, in choosing drugs, the factors such as the characteristics of patients’ state of disease, age, occupation and economic status should be considered so as to choose the suitable drug and improve patients’ quality of life.关键词
