Abstract
OBJECTIVE:To investigate the status quo of the prophylactic use of antibiotics in patients undergoing breast surgery so as to provide guidance for rational use and standardized management of antibiotics.METHODS:Using the method of retrospective investigation, a total of 573 medical records of patients undergoing type I incision surgery (breast surgery) during 2013 were collected.The exclusion criteria were cases presenting with bacterial infection before and after operation or independent of operation.The valid samples were analzyed statistically with regard to patients'age, sex, hosptial stay, clincal diagnosis, operation time, types of antibiotics used, medication time, usage and dosage, administration route, stage of medicaiton etc.RESULTS:Of the 557 valid cases, the duration of breast surgery in 230 cases (41.29%) stood at 1-2 hours, with >3.0 h noted in 82 (14.72%).119 cases (21.36%) had perioperative prophylactic use of antibiotics, with 34 (28.75%) received antibiotics at 30 min-2 hours before the surgey and 82 (68.91%) cases received antibioics after surgey. 2 cases had postoperative use of antibiotics for duration of more than 48 hours.Cefazolin Sodium Pentahydrate Cefazolin was the predominantly used prophylactic antibiotics, accouting for 99.16%.CONCLUSIONS:The prophylactic use of antibiotics in patients undergoing breast surgery was rational on the whole in terms of indications, time and duration of administration and the choice of drug types etc.关键词
