Abstract
OBJECTIVE:To monitor the blood concentration of vancomycin and evaluate its clinical application in neonates so as to provide theoretical basis for the clinical use of vancomycin.METHODS:A retrospective analysis was performed on the data of a total of 40 neonates in Shenzhen Futian District Maternal and Child Health Hospital who used vancomycin for management of infection from January 2013 to December 2014 .RESULTS: In the total 40 patients, 10 kinds of pathogens were identified; serum procalcitonin concentration in 36 cases decreased to less than 0.5 ng/ml after treatment by vancomycin, with the total effective rate of vancomycin for sampled neonates at 90.00%(36/40).CONCLUSIONS:Vancomycin is effective for treatment of neonates with gram-positive bacteria infection.关键词
