Abstract
OBJECTIVE:To analyze the antibiotic use density ( AUD) and tendency of the antibiotic use in Tianjin Dongli District Dongli Hospital ( hereinafter referred to as the“our hospital”) in order to improve the level of rational use of drug.METHODS:The antibiotic use data from 2011 to 2013 were retrieved from computer management software system in our hospital, with AUD computed and analyzed.RESULTS: The AUD in our hospital showed a downward trend.The top five categories in terms of AUD were the second generation cephalosporins, penicillins, quinolones, other beta-lactams, and the third generation cephalosporins. Mezlocillin, cefuroxime, cefazolin, cefotiam and aztreonam were ranked among the top 10 antibiotics in terms of AUD.The AUD in all the departments except the departments of urology and general surgery showed downward trend.CONCLUSIONS:The antibiotic use in our hospital presents with the problem of centralized and excessive medication, abuse, high level of drugs etc.It is important to further refine management measures and establish improved long-term mechanism to promote rational use of drugs.关键词
