Abstract
Vertebral artery hypoplasia is a frequent vascular variation of posterior circulation. Emerging evidence suggests that vertebral artery hypoplasia is a risk factor of posterior circulation ischemic stroke, with a morphological correlation between them. This article reviews research progress of vertebral artery hypoplasia and its role in posterior circulation ischemic stroke in order to promote optimization during clinical decision making.关键词
