Abstract
Objective To investigate effecacy of endolymphatic sac decompression (ELSD) for treating Lermoyez syn-drome. Methods From 2007 to 2013, 6 patients with recurrent vertigo despite nonsurgical treatment underwent ELSD after a thorough evaluation and were followed. Follow up methods included clinic visits and telephone interview to assess vertigo, hear-ing, tinnitus and aural fullness after the surgery. Results Vertigo was completely controlled in 4 patients (66.7%) and improved in the other 2 patients (33.3%). Hearing improved in 7 patients (57.1%), and 2 patients (33.3%) reported tinnitus relief. Aural fullness improved in 4 patients (80%). Conclusion ELSD can be effectively used to control the vertigo in Lermoyez syndrome patients. ELSD is a feasible approach for the treatment of this disease.关键词
