摘要

Abstract

Taking overhead distribution lines in Beilun as research objects, State Grid Zhejiang (Provincial) Electric Power Company conducts statistical analysis on lightning characteristics in this area. Combining with actual line parameters and using electro-magnetic transient program (EMTP), this paper mainly analyzes and investigates on improving lightning withstand level and reducing lightning trip-out rate by reducing pole and tower grounding resistance and installing line arrester. The results show that lightning protection performance of lines can be improved effectively by reducing the pole and tower grounding resistance and installing light-ning arresters in appropriate places.
