Abstract
Teachers'English-Chinese code-switching in higher vocational English classroom enjoys great variation in inserted linguistic units and types.From the perspective of Systemic Functional Linguistics,this variation is deter-mined by register theory.Register analysis indicates that the three variables of register theory (field,tenor,and mode)restrict teachers' use of code-switching in higher vocational college English class.关键词
