西北太平洋秋刀鱼椎骨形态的初步研究
Preliminary Study on Vertebrae Morphology of Pacific Saury(Cololabis saira)

Abstract
Based on the samples collected from the sea of the northwest Pacific Ocean from July to September 2011, vertebrae morphology of Pacific Ocean was observed and measured by using principal component analysis to study shape parameters of the vertebrae, studying the relationship between main morphological parameters and fork length. The results indicate that every vertebrae has 66-67 vertebraes, in which individuals with 67 vertebraes are dominant ( 69.35%) and has 39 pairs of ribs,Pacific saury with 66 and 67 vertebrae have larger proportion in 26-28 cm, according to the correlation coefficient analysis, suggesting that the number of vertebrae is not associated with Pacific saury growth (r = 0.13).According to one-way ANOVA , transverse diameter (D2), the external diameter (R) have not significant differences between sexes (P>0.05). Longitudinal axis diameter (D1),surface area (S), surface perimeter (C) have significant differences between sexes (P <0.05). And vertebrae length(TVL) have highly significant differences (P <0.01). Similar variation tendency of longitudinal axis diameter (D1), transverse diameter (D2), surface area (S) and surface perimeter (C) can be found, and the maximum values appear in the 20th piece of vertebrae. The variation tendency of external diameter (R) and vertebrae length(TVL)was also consistent with the pattern of increasing firstly and then decreasing, and the maximum value appears in 10th piece of vertebrae, the result shows that the maximum value of vertebrae’s morphological parameters appears on the coccygeal vertebra. According to principal component analysis, the transverse diameter (D2) as indicators of the width of the vertebrae, and the external diameter (R) as a index of vertebrae length, The length of D2 and R range from 1.5 to 2.5 mm, and both have significant positive correlations with fork length of Pacific saury.关键词
