Abstract
Objective:To observe the clinically therapeutic effect of activating brain and regaining conscious-ness needling combined with abdomen acupuncture on stroke sequela .Methods:30 stroke sequelae sufferers were treated with activating brain and regaining consciousness needling combined with abdomen acupuncture , based on selecting points according to TCM syndrome differentiation once a day ,six days as a course ,four cour-ses in the whole experiment with one -day rest between two courses .Efficacy was evaluated with a certain grade method , motor function with Brunnstrom graded scale , and activity of daily living with Barthel's ADL in-dex, three of which were obtained pre -treatment and post-treatment.Results:Motor function was significantly improved after the treatment (upper limb, u=6.24,P<0.01;lower limb,u=4.75,P<0.01).Ability of dai-ly living was obviously improved with higher ADL index post -treatment compared with pre -treatment ( P<0.05 ) .The total efficiency of treatment was 90%, with 14 cases markedly effective , 13 cases effective and 3 cases ineffective .Conclusion:Activating brain and regaining consciousness needling combined with abdomen acupuncture was effective for stroke sequelae ,significantly improving motor function of upper and lower extremi-ties and activities of daily living ability through their complementary roles .关键词
