Abstract
Objective:To explore the therapeutic efficacy of acupoint herbal application combined with electro-acupuncture ( EA) in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis ( KOA) .Methods:60 cases of KOA were random-ized into a treatment group and a control group , with 30 cases in each group .In the treatment group , acupoint herbal application combined with EA was applied .In the control group , only EA was used .After three weeks ’ treatment , the therapeutic effects were observed and compared .Results:After three weeks ’ treatment , the clini-cal symptoms were improved in both groups , and the total effective rates were 93.33% in the treatment group and 73 .33%in the control group , with a significant difference between two groups ( P<0 .05 ) .Conclusion:The clinical efficacy of acupoint herbal application combined with EA in the treatment of KOA is remarkable , which is superior to that of only EA and is worthy of being popularized .关键词
