Effect of Abdomina l Acupuncture on Surface El ectromyography of Trapezius in Cervical Spondylosis Patients with Neck Type

Abstract
Objective:To observe the therapeutic effect of abdominal acupuncture on cervical spondylosis( CS) with neck type and its effect on the Trapezius’ surface electromyography( sEMG) .Methods:Sixty-two cases of neck type CS were randomly divided into a treatment group ( n=32 ) treated by abdominal acupuncture com-bined with Jinshu granule and a control group ( n=30) treated by sham abdominal acupuncture combined with Jinshu granule.Simplified Brief McGill Pain Questionnaire( MPQ) and sEMG were served as the evaluation. Their therapeutic effects were compared after the first time and the last time treatment.Results:The treatment group was better than the control group according to reducing pain and improving the ability of Trapezius to anti-fatigue(P<0.05),so was the immediate therapeutic effect after the first treatment(P<0.05).Conclu-sion:Abdominal acupuncture can better reduce the pain of CS patients and improve the ability of Trapezius to anti-fatigue.关键词
