Abstract
Objective To evaluate the clinical effects of phacoemulsification on primary angle- closure glaucoma (PACG) at different stages. Methods One hundred and thirteen eyes from seventeen PACG patients undergoing phacoemulsi-fication in our hospital during July 2008 to December 2013 were enrol ed, including angle closure suspects (40 eyes), acute pri-mary angle closure(48 eyes) and progressing angle- closure glaucoma(25 eyes). The mean follow- up time was (19.47±10.10 ) months. The visual acuity, intra- ocular pressure, visual field, and peripheral anterior synechiae were compared before and after surgery. Results Al angle closure suspects were wel control ed, 10.4%of acute primary angle- closure eyes and 40.0%of pro-gressing angle- closure glaucoma eyes showed a further development of glaucoma. Conclusion Lens extraction surgery might be radical for angle closure suspects, but should be carried on as early as possible for acute primary angle closure, also for pro-gressing angle- closure glaucoma.关键词
