Abstract
Objective To investigate the expressions and clinical significances of livin and caspase-3 protein in different kinds of gastric lesions. Methods We selected 110 cases of gastric patients who were admitted in Harrison Hospital of Hengshui City between March 2013 and March 2014 as the research objects. There were 20 cases of patients with chronic non atrophic gastritis, 30 cases of patients with chronic atrophic gastritis (CAG) but without intestinal metaplasia, 30 cases of patients with CAG and intestinal metapla-sia, and 30 cases of patients with gastric carcinoma, including 10 cases of lowly differentiated gastric carcinoma, 10 cases of middle differentiated gastric carcinoma and 10 cases of highly differentiated gastric carcinoma. The livin, caspase-3 protein expressions were detected by immunohistochemical assay (IHC). Results The expression rate of livin protein in chronic non atrophic gastritis, CAG with-out intestinal metaplasia, CAG with intestinal metaplasia, gastric carcinoma were respectively 0%, 40%, 43.33%, 60%, and the differ-ence was statistically significant (P<0.001). No statistical difference was found in the expression of livin protein between lowly, middle and highly differentiated gastric carcinoma (P>0.05). The expression rate of caspase-3 protein in chronic non atrophic gastritis, CAG without intestinal metaplasia, CAG with intestinal metaplasia, gastric carcinoma were respectively 90%, 53.33%, 46.67%, 30%, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.001);no statistical difference was found in the expression of caspase-3 protein between lowly, middle and highly differentiated gastric carcinoma (P>0.05). The expression of caspase-3 protein was negatively related to the expression of livin in gastric carcinoma (r=-0.505, P<0.05). Conclusion The abnormal expressions of livin and caspase-3 contributed to the development of gastric carcinoma. Both could be helpful in the early diagnosis and pretreatment of gastric carcinoma.关键词
