Abstract

In order to clearly understand the effect of damping-sprayed lay on vibration and noise reduction of aluminum profile floor of high-speed train, a corrugated aluminum profile is used as the basic plate and sprayed with the damping layer of 2 mm and 4 mm on it, respectively. Then the tests of the sound insulation, structural vibration and noise radiation are conducted in a laboratory. The test results show that as the damping layer width increases, the sound insulation increases, especially around 500 Hz. Sticking 2 mm damping layer on the aluminum profile floor can increase the weighted sound insulation of 4.5 dB compared to the aluminum profile floor with no damping. When the damping layer increases to 4 mm, the weighted sound insulation increases 2.4 dB once more. On the other hand, in the range of 100 Hz~250 Hz, 2 mm damping layer makes an opposite effect on the reduction of vibration and noise radiation, but 4 mm damping layer using works very well to a certain degree. Between 315 Hz and 400 Hz, the damping layers of 2mm and 4mm have no sound insulation effect. Above 500 Hz, with the thickness increase of the damping layer, the reduction of vibration and noise radiation increases. Especially at 500 Hz, 1250 Hz and 3150 Hz, the reduction is remarkable.
