A Mathematic Model of Coupled Structural-acousics System in Sound Attenuation from Combinations of Earplugs and Earmuffs

Abstract
How to computer sound attenuation from combinations of earplugs and earmuffs is the research hotspots and difficulties for hearing conservation experts in the world. This paper, analyzed combinations of double hearing protectors with earplugs ands earmuffs, derived a mathematic model of coupled structural-acoustics system in sound attenuation from combinations of earplugs and earmuffs using acoustical transitivity, principle, and hypotheses of air conduction and bone conduction having the same basilar membrane. The experiment values coincided with theoretical values of the mathematic model for sound attenuation from combinations of earplugs and earmuffs in 2~4 kHz.关键词
