Abstract
Objective To evaluate the clinical results of treatment for lumbar disc herniation with segmental instability by discectomy with interspinous dynamic stabilization system. Methods A total of 16 patients were treated with discec-tomy and implantation of Wallis system. The visual analogue scale(VAS)and Japanese Orthopaedic Association (JOA)scores were recorded at the preoperation and the latest follow-up. In addition, the mobility of the operative segment and adjacent segments were measured at X-ray plain respectively. The effects was evaluated according to Chinese Or-thopaedic Association criteria. Results 16 patients were followed up for 18-24 months, an average of 20.3 months, fif-teen patients had excellent outcome, and one patient had good outcome, the VAS and JOA of latest follow-up were sta-tistical difference than that of preoperation (P<0.05). The range of motion with operative segments after treatment de-creased than preoperation,a difference between the two groups (P<0.05), there was no obviously difference between postoperative and preoperative range of motion with adjacent segments(P>0.05). Conclusion By discectomy via lumbar posterior fenestration combined with Wallis system, Good clinical results can be obtained for treatment of lumbar disc herniation with segmental instability.关键词
